Who we are
In the mid 1970’s I visited Mt. Vernon and Colonial Williamsburg. There is saw spinning for the first time. Research eventually led me to the purchase of my first spinning wheel, an Ashford Traveler, which I still have and use.
As time went by and was not able to find in my area the wool fiber I wanted to spin, I started looking into the different breeds of sheep that I could start a flock with. Since I started spinning with Romney fiber, that was my first choice.
In 1999, we purchased our two ewe lambs. Coco and Channel. Over the next ten years, we had many lambs and the flock grew to about 55 ewes. Deciding not to lamb anymore was a tough decision but meant I was able to keep my flock till their natural end.
Currently, we do not have a flock, but we still have homegrown wool available, that we love sharing with you.
